It's not a competition it's a friend playing homage to a friend in his own way.

Saw Pantera more than a dozen times in the 90's. Dimebag had his tech Grady Champion controlling his whammy from side stage just as Grady is doing it for Zakk today.

Bully, tou talk shit. It's a tribute and he plays it to honour one of his best friends. You ain't the one who tells Zakk what and how to do.

He's not trying to sound identical to dime he's paying homage to him with his own unique style. Stop with the tribute band bs. That is big disrespect to Phil which was the only reason pantera even became cool to begin with. If not for him they'd have stayed glam metal probably. I love the brothers as much as anyone but they aren't all of pantera. Pantera is the 4 of them. This is half the 4 plus 2 good friends of the band. It couldn't be done any more tasteful yet you haters just keep on complaining and whining about it. Get over it. If you don't like it don't watch videos on it or go see any shows.

@midnight347 He's not "trying" is the problem. Listen to his solos. He doesn't "get" Darrell's style or his rhythm of playing. He's sloppy, and it's embarrassing. Now, look at a band in 2023 with one original member who cares about sounding like they should like Megadeth and hear the difference.

There's heaps of guitarist that would of done a better job. If you think he paid homage to that solo you've got rocks in your head, that had as much soul as a dead cow, like the rest of the solos of dimes he's butchering. Don't give a crap what anyone thinks, pantera was and still is my favourite band but if you think he's doing any of Darrell's solos justice you're delusional

... That's because many pple expects Dimebag's replacement to play those beautiful solos exactly like him (just like all those Marty Friedman's replacements did & are still doing it) @@grahamashcroft871 but those renowned guitarists who'd already made their names big won't usually do that...they would rather go for or do with their own unique style. It's for the rhythm part, they should set it up to sound more like original Pantera. It's disappointing..

I am a true Pantera fan and was my 1st concert in the 90's. Don't make up a solo of Dime. He never did that and is ridiculous!
